ARTISAN Was Formed to Empower the Employer
In recent years, there has been an alarming concern among employers regarding the escalating cost of workers’ compensation benefits and medical treatment for their injured workers. Artisan and every other employer desires the highest level of workers’ compensation cost containment and care for their injured employees, but at a reasonable and fair cost.
Artisan was founded with the intention to help guide the injured worker and employer through the workers' compensation system. Our intervention strategies begin at the first point of injury and continue through the injured worker's episode of care. Artisan oversight protocols and cost containment strategies focus on appropriate and medically necessary treatment, reducing period of disability, return-to-work opportunities, and medical cost saving strategies.
Our work does not stop there! The Artisan team of intervention specialists and network of physician advisors build a bridge between the medical needs of the employee and the inherent barriers and conflicts that exist within the medical provider community and the claims management process. In fact, our insertion of a “medical-mind” during the earliest stages of the treatment process provides third-party medical oversight of the ongoing care and faster recovery of the injured worker.
